A chance discovery in the 1930s began the process of unearthing remarkable evidence of ancient settlers their beliefs and practises, and a vast expanse of walled fields – the oldest known on earth – in which they raised what were then strange and exotic animals.

However all of this is hidden beneath the ground. This project set out to upgrade the existing experience to tell the story of these people and how they lived over 6000 years ago.

The project centre piece was a 360 degree theatre with custom generated CGI material telling this remarkable story.

Our scope for this project was to design a projection system to create this 360 degree experience in a very difficult existing space. One the exact opposite of what you would normally deem to be an ideal room configuration for such a project.

Our team carried out the full installation and commissioning of the entire centre. Part of our scope was to manage the content delivery in the space including the CGI animations.

We utilized an auto mapping technology which means should a projector ever need to be replaced an installed camera system can reset up the projector blending and mapping.
