Probably the first entirely 4K visitor center we completed. Due to the nature of this visitor center with an expectation of relatively low numbers there is a mix of static text panels and interactive digital content. The center tells the story of the history of Fethard town which spans over 2,000 years and in particular development of the towns world class the bloodstock industry. The skeleton of the legendary “Sadler’s Well” racehorse forms a centerpiece backed by a 4K video wall which cleverly describes the story in an engaging manner.
The center features over 35 displays which fully utilises the 4K capability to reproduce the wonderful photographic assets available. The project was completed in 2017. The concept behind many of the exhibits is that a primary navigation touch screen acts as a remote to much larger displays, this facilitates the media taking center stage without the clutter of navigation controls.
